Our Mission

At Eudaimonia Review, we showcase and support the voices of young writers aged 13-20 across the world.

Our mission is founded in four promises: promptness, feedback, mentorship, and representation. We focus on the individual submitter and how our impact can cultivate not only a healthy space to be heard, but a space that prioritizes growth across technique, structure, and content.

Beyond our unique approach to feedback, our seasonal issues are founded in uplifting youth voices and calling to attention important social issues and mental health awareness. Between readers and writers alike, Eudaimonia Review is here to provide understanding and support.

We are open to several genres, particularly (but not limited to): poetry, prose, short stories, essays, and creative non-fiction. Our goal is the amplification of individual stories, cultures, and experiences, therefore placing our preference in non-fiction genres over fiction.

Founder

Via Sheahin is a first year student within the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She created Eudaimonia Review to give young writers a space to be recognized and acknowledged, and to provide room for ample growth that harsh rejection culture fails to cultivate. She is an avid published writer, managing editor of Cathartic Youth Literary Magazine, founder of a volunteer organization focused on youth creativity, and has 6+ years of education and experience in reviewing and critiquing pieces ranging between all genres.
